The problem we set out to solve

RAMS documents are not the interesting part of construction compliance — they're the necessary part, and they take a disproportionate amount of time relative to how routine most of them are. Talking to health and safety managers, the same frustration came up again and again: it's not that the work is hard, it's that there's so much of it, and it has to be done thoroughly every single time.

15 to 20 hours a week is a conservative estimate of what many teams spend on manual RAMS review. That's time not spent on site, not spent on the judgement calls that actually need a qualified human, and not spent on the parts of the job that made these people want to work in health and safety in the first place.

How Valify was built

Valify was built around the specific structure of a RAMS document — the sections a thorough reviewer checks, and the way those sections need to agree with each other. It's not a generic document scanner adapted to construction; the checks it runs were built by looking directly at what a good manual review actually looks for.

It's built on leading AI models — currently Anthropic's Claude, accessed via OpenRouter — chosen for their ability to read dense, technical documents carefully and consistently — the exact quality that manual review struggles to sustain at volume.

What Valify is for

Valify does the first, exhaustive read. It checks every section individually, then cross-references the whole document — verifying that every hazard has a control measure, that plant in scope appears in the hazard register, and that PPE requirements match the specific hazards identified rather than being applied generically.

What comes back is a severity-ranked report: Critical, Needs Attention, Minor, and what the document already does well. Every flag carries a section reference and the reasoning behind it, so your team can act on it immediately rather than re-reading the document to work out what was meant.

Our commitment to keeping humans in control

Valify will never certify, approve or sign off a document. That isn't a limitation we're working around — it's a deliberate line we've drawn and intend to keep. Health and safety decisions on a construction site carry real consequences for real people, and that responsibility belongs with qualified humans, not with an AI system. Valify's job is to make sure nothing gets missed before your team makes that call — not to make the call itself.
