All final decisions regarding document adequacy remain with your qualified personnel. Accepting a document in Valify records your own decision — it is not a Valify approval or sign-off.
Valify is software, not a law firm or a consultancy
Valify is a software product. We build and operate it. We are not a law firm, not a firm of solicitors, not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and not a health and safety consultancy. We do not employ, retain or supply solicitors, barristers, chartered safety practitioners or any other professional adviser to review your documents, and no qualified professional reviews your documents on our behalf.
Nothing produced by Valify — a report, a severity rating, a section reference, an exported document, an API response, a page of this website, a blog article or an email — is legal advice, professional health and safety advice, an expert opinion or a statement that any document or organisation complies with any statute, regulation, approved code of practice or standard. It is the output of a software system.
Using Valify does not create a relationship of solicitor and client, of adviser and client, or of any other professional to whom a duty of care in advising you would attach. If you need advice on your legal duties — under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, or anything else — take it from a qualified professional you have instructed. Valify is not a substitute for doing so, and must not be presented to a client, a principal contractor, an insurer or the HSE as though it were.
Valify does not certify or approve documents
Valify is a document review assistant. It analyses uploaded documents and produces a report identifying potential gaps, inconsistencies and missing information for review by qualified health and safety personnel. Valify does not certify, approve, endorse or sign off on any document, and no output produced by Valify should be represented or relied upon as doing so.
No professional safety assessment
Nothing produced by Valify constitutes a professional health and safety assessment, a legal opinion, or a statement of regulatory compliance. Valify's output is generated by an AI system, without human review, and is intended solely as an aid to the human review process — not a replacement for it. An AI system can be confidently wrong: it can miss a serious defect entirely and it can flag something that is perfectly adequate, and neither outcome is a professional judgement about your document.
All decisions remain with qualified personnel
Every decision about whether a document is adequate, complete, or suitable for use on site remains entirely the responsibility of the client's own qualified health and safety personnel. Valify flags potential issues for that review — it does not make the decision itself, and it never will.
What the review is for
Valify exists to make the read faster and more consistent. It performs the first, exhaustive pass over a document — checking every section a reviewer checks, and cross-referencing those sections against each other — so that the time your qualified personnel spend on a document is spent on judgement rather than on hunting for what is missing. It is a time-saving aid to a human review process. It is not the review itself, and it does not shorten or replace your own approval process.
Accepting a document in Valify
Valify asks you to make a decision at the end of a review. Accepting a document in Valify records your own decision, not Valify's. It is not an approval, a certification or a sign-off by Valify, and an acceptance record must never be represented as one or offered as evidence of compliance to the HSE or any other body.
When a document is accepted, Valify records the name entered as the person accepting it, the date and time, the issue counts on the report at that moment, the acknowledgement wording shown, and any note added. That record exists so your organisation knows who took the decision and on what basis — responsibility for the adequacy of the document, including where it is briefed to operatives or passed to anyone else for use, rests entirely with your organisation.
Nobody is obliged to accept a document. If a report raises concerns you do not consider resolved, the document can be revised and submitted again as a new review, or simply left unaccepted.
No guarantee of completeness
Valify is designed to identify common and structural gaps, but it does not guarantee that its analysis is exhaustive or that every possible issue in a document will be identified. Documents that receive a clean or near-clean report from Valify should still be reviewed and approved through your organisation's normal health and safety governance process, whether or not that report has been signed off.
Statements made by partners and other third parties
Valify operates a Partner Programme under which independent consultants and salespeople may introduce Valify to companies they already work with. Partners are self-employed independent contractors. They are not employees, agents or representatives of Valify and have no authority to make commitments or give assurances on its behalf.
Nothing said by a partner, a reseller or any other third party varies this disclaimer. If a partner has told you that Valify certifies documents, approves them, signs them off, removes the need for review by your own qualified personnel, or guarantees compliance with any regulation, that statement is wrong and Valify does not stand behind it. This page, the Terms of Service and the report’s own wording are what govern what Valify does.
Being introduced by a partner changes nothing about the service, its price or its limitations. If something you were told does not match what you read here, tell us at hello@valify.co.uk before you rely on it.
Scope of this disclaimer
This disclaimer applies to all outputs generated by Valify, and to every description of Valify given by anyone, including reports, summaries, severity ratings, flags, section references, exported PDF and Word documents, acceptance records, API responses and any other content produced by the Valify AI system, regardless of how, where or through which interface those outputs are accessed, displayed, exported, embedded or redistributed.
