How To Cancel My Subscription

Starter and Growth run on monthly rolling contracts and can be cancelled at any time, with no penalty and no retention call. Enterprise runs on an annual contract agreed with your account manager.

Steps

  1. Open Billing from your account menu.
  2. Select Cancel Subscription. This takes you straight to Stripe's cancellation screen rather than to its home page.
  3. Confirm the cancellation.
  4. You are returned to Valify. The Billing page will show that your plan is ending, usually within a few seconds of Stripe confirming it.

When access ends

At the end of the billing period you have already paid for, not immediately. Until then everything works normally — you keep your remaining allowance, and you can scan, read and export as usual. There is no partial refund for the unused part of a period, which is the other side of there being no notice period.

What happens afterwards

  • Your account stays open and you can sign in.
  • Your document history stays available, subject to the standard 90-day document deletion.
  • New scans stop, unless you restart or move to another plan.
  • Nothing is charged again.

Before you cancel

Export any reports you want to keep — downloading a report as a PDF takes a few seconds each — and download any invoices you need for your records, which is covered in how to download an invoice.

Restarting

A Restart My Subscription option appears on the Billing page after cancellation. Restarting before the period ends simply cancels the cancellation; after it ends you choose a plan again as normal. Teams often come back at the start of a project, when the document volume described in how long a RAMS review should take lands all at once.

Cancelling is not deleting

Cancelling stops the billing. If you want your data removed as well, that is a separate action — see how to delete my account.
