What Valify reviews depends on your plan, because the checks for each document type are different and each one has to be built and validated separately.
By plan
- Trial and Starter: RAMS — combined Risk Assessment and Method Statement documents.
- Growth: RAMS, plus method statements and risk assessments submitted as standalone documents.
- Enterprise: all document types your team produces, including custom formats agreed with your account manager.
Documents with appendices
A scan reads one file, and the cross-document checks run inside it — a substance named in the method statement is matched against the COSHH references in the same document, plant in the scope against the hazard register, and so on. So where a RAMS has appendices that belong to it, the way to have them read together is to submit them as one combined file rather than as separate uploads.
Appendices submitted separately are reviewed as separate documents, which loses exactly those cross-checks. COSHH assessment for construction covers what that particular check is looking for.
What falls outside
- Drawings, models and anything whose content is graphical rather than written.
- Contracts, commercial documents and correspondence.
- Certificates and training records — Valify can see that a document references them, not whether they are valid.
- Documents in languages other than English.
- Anything with no text layer, such as a scan — see supported file types.
Construction phase plans
Not covered by Starter or Growth. The checks a review runs are the ones a RAMS is measured against — hazards, controls, residual risk, the method sequence — and a construction phase plan states arrangements and site rules instead, so it comes back with findings that are not useful. Enterprise covers document types agreed with your account manager, which is the route to having plans reviewed properly. Construction phase plan versus RAMS explains why the two are not interchangeable.
If you are not sure
Upload it. If Valify cannot make sense of the document type it says so in the summary rather than inventing findings, and no useful scan means we will credit it back — just contact us.
