Yes. Valify runs in the browser and the whole application — sign-in, upload, reports, document history, settings and billing — works on a phone or tablet. There is no app to install and nothing to keep updated.
What works well on a phone
- Checking whether a scan has finished.
- Reading the summary and the critical findings, which is most of what you need on site.
- Uploading a document straight from cloud storage or your files app.
- Sharing a report link with a colleague.
What is easier on a desktop
Working through a full report with the document open beside it. Reading a long report and editing a RAMS at the same time on a 6-inch screen is possible and unpleasant. Exporting to PDF also behaves more predictably on a desktop browser, where the print dialog gives you the destination options — see downloading your report as a PDF.
Uploading from site
You can upload whatever your device can reach: files in your document management app, an email attachment saved to the device, or a file in cloud storage. What will not work is a photograph of a printed document — a photo has no text layer, so there is nothing to read. Supported file types explains the test, and what to avoid in a RAMS template covers why flattened and scanned files cause the same problem for human reviewers.
Browsers
Current versions of Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox are all supported, on desktop and mobile. If something looks wrong, updating the browser fixes most of it; if it does not, tell us which browser and device you are on and we will reproduce it.
